Cookie Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains how cookies and similar browser technologies relate to tapcal.app, operated by Jonathan Jones trading as JonsTech ("we", "us" or "our"). For our wider information practices, see the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and browser storage do
Cookies are small pieces of information a website can store in your browser and receive again on later requests. Local storage and similar browser features can also save settings or other information on your device.
These technologies can support essential website functions, remember preferences, measure website use or support advertising. Their purpose depends on how a particular site uses them.
2. How this website uses them
The TapCal website does not use Google Analytics, DoubleClick or advertising-tracking cookies. We do not use website cookies to build advertising profiles or track your browsing across other websites.
Our hosting and security providers may use essential technical cookies or similar storage when needed to deliver the site, maintain security, prevent abuse or preserve necessary settings. These are used for those technical purposes rather than advertising or audience profiling.
Website requests can also generate technical logs, such as an IP address, requested page, browser information, time and response status. A server can receive this information without placing a cookie. Our Privacy Policy explains this processing.
3. External links
The website links to other services, including the App Store, social platforms and support resources. If you follow a link, the destination may use its own cookies or other technologies under its own policies. You can review those policies and use that service's privacy controls.
4. The TapCal app is separate
This Cookie Policy covers the website. The iPhone app uses local settings and storage, and includes PostHog product analytics and Google AdMob advertising as described in the Privacy Policy. Those app features do not mean that the website uses Google Analytics or DoubleClick cookies.
5. Your browser controls
You can inspect, block or delete cookies and site storage through your browser's privacy settings. Settings differ between browsers. Blocking essential storage may affect website functions or cause necessary preferences to be forgotten.
The current website does not offer an analytics or advertising cookie preference because it does not use those tracking technologies. If we introduce non-essential cookies or similar technologies, we will update these disclosures and provide any consent choices required before using them.
6. Changes and contact
We will update this page and its date if our website's use of browser storage changes.
