These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of TapCal ("we", "us", or "our"), including the TapCal mobile application (the "App") and our website at https://www.tapcal.app (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Description of the Services
TapCal is a productivity and calendar management application that integrates with Apple's EventKit and WeatherKit frameworks. The App enables users to view, create, edit, and delete calendar events; manage scheduling; receive notifications; and use widgets. All event information shown or edited through the App originates from your device's iOS system calendars. We do not store, collect, or transmit your calendar data to external servers.
2. User Content
When you create or modify events using the App, the associated data is stored only within Apple's calendar system on your device or your chosen iCloud account. We do not access or store your event data on our own servers. All event metadata—such as title, times, notes, and location—is handled solely through EventKit.
3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
TapCal offers optional paid features available through in-app purchases, including monthly, annual, and lifetime access tiers. Some subscription plans may include a free trial. Free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Subscription billing, renewal, and refunds are handled exclusively by Apple via your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You may manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings.
4. Advertisements
The App may display non-personalized advertisements. These ads may be served by third-party advertising providers such as Google AdMob. We do not collect, track, or share personal data for ad personalization.
5. Prohibited Use
When using the Services, you must not:
- Violate applicable laws or the rights of others
- Interfere with or disrupt the functioning of the Services
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code
- Introduce viruses or harmful code into the App or device
- Access components or systems without authorization
- Use the Services in a manner that degrades performance or stability
6. Intellectual Property
The Services and all original content, design, features, and functionality are owned by TapCal and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reproduce, or create derivative works based on the Services without our written consent.
You may not use our trademarks, branding, or visual assets without written permission.
7. Privacy
Your use of TapCal is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled within the App. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or compatibility with all devices or iOS versions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, productivity, or device performance. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the preceding 12 months.
10. Service Changes
We may modify, update, or discontinue parts of the Services at any time without notice. This includes adjustments to features, functionality, subscription benefits, or technical compatibility.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms or misuse the App. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the United Kingdom unless otherwise required by local consumer protection laws.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Revised Terms will be posted within the Services and become effective upon posting. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
